About Us
Gigio's Pizzeria has been serving the community for 50 years, making it the oldest pizza place in Evanston. First opened in 1968 as a pickup and delivery operation, the original owners later expanded to accommodate sit down dining several years later. Bringing their culinary knowledge all the way from Italy and later New York City, Gigio's specializes in New York style thin crust pizza.
Yet our menu options go beyond pizza, as we offer everything from burgers, hot dogs, Italian beef and sausages, to amazing tacos, burritos, salads and homemade soups. We pride ourselves in the freshness of our ingredients. Everything is made from scratch on site to ensure the quality of our food. Perhaps our best kept secret is our pizza sauce that coupled with our whole milk cheese creates a taste sensation that only real pizza lovers can appreciate.
We are located along 1001 Davis St, Evanston, IL 60201

This is a pizzeria that can accommodate a fair number of dine-in customers. The service is pretty quick and the food delicious. A great neighborhood place to eat. The prices are reasonable and parking should not be a problem. It is also located within walking distance of the Davis El station.

Old school pizza joint that is so delicious. They probably have the best pizza by the slice in Chicagoland area. Also their tacos are very good too. They’re not traditional style but American style with lettuce tomato and cheese but they still hold their own very well. Must have and highly recommended if you’re in Evanston !!

I love almost everything on the menu! From a quick slice of pizza to South of the border fare, almost everything is good. The place is large enough to handle families and students without sitting on top of each other.

We’ve been going to Gigio’s for fifteen years now. They are amazing. Best NY-style pie in Chicagoland! Don’t be afraid to try other things on the menu! It’s all good! One of my kids doesn’t eat cheese but is nuts about the tacos and burritos.

On of the best but under rated slices in the city with a consistency over the years the is unmatched sand the cherry on top is the amazing Mexican food they've added over the last few years! Evanston has a pathetic lack of authentic Mexican food and I was thrilled to find the additions to the menu.

I have been eating slices for her for most of my life but ever since I started working close by I get to really see what they have to offer. So far everything has been good bu this time I ordered burritos for lunch. I would highly recommend.
